This policy describes how we protect and make use of the information you give to us at Inner Balance.  If you are asked to provide information, it will only be used in ways stated in this policy.  This privacy policy was last updated on 24th May 2018.

Why do we collect data from you?
  • In order to respond to your requests for information (e.g. info about treatments or booking appointments)
  • allow you to sign up for special offers or promotions
  • allow us to contact you in regard to treatments, bookings or general information
  • enable certain functions on this website
  • better understand how visitors use this website
What information do we collect from you?

We collect the following minimal information:

  • Name
  • contact phone numbers
  • email address
  • physical address
  • consultation and treatment information (medical & lifestyle history so we can offer you the best treatment available and to check that you are not contra-indicated to our treatments. Thus enabling us to adapt any of our treatments where deemed appropriate).

 

Why do we use cookies?

The data I collect is used as follows:

  • For our internal accounting processes and so that we are compliant with our tax authority (HMRC) should it request an audit.
  • To contact you in response to your enquiry, treatment, special offer or booking.
  • To give you access to content you have purchased that resides on our website.
  • To record your agreement to the terms and conditions of your treatment with us.
  • We will never use this data for marketing or promotion purposes without getting your permission in writing first (for example, to publish your testimonial for us on our website or other social media platforms), or unless you have signed up to be notified about a specific offer or our newsletter.
Cookies

A cookie is a small file placed on your computer’s hard drive. It enables my website to identify your computer as you view different pages on my website. The only way in which I use cookies is for web analytics. Cookies do not provide me with access to your computer or any information about you other than that which you elect to share with me.

How do we collect your personal data?

We collect and store minimal information via the following:

  • Contact form via this website
  • Booking appointments via our online provider Timely
  • News signup via Mailchimp
  • E vouchers by our provider Timely 
  • Our Big Cartel online shop
  • Email via live mail and gmail
  • Digital consultation forms via our online booking provider Timely

 

  • We will never lease, distribute or sell your information to third parties unless you give us written permission to do so, or I am required to do so by law.
  • You can ask me to remove your data from MailChimp signup newsletter, our online booking at any time. Please note that if your information is being held to enable access to our online booking and to let us carry out your treatments, the removal of your data will remove your access to these facilities.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) require us to make sure your data is accurate, kept up-to-date and that we keep it for no longer than is necessary.

If you have sign up to receive updates on our products, services or any information we send you will include details to let you unsubscribe at any time.

If there has been no contact with you in 36 months we will remove you from our database.  A new consultation will then be required.

How do we store your personal data?

The minimal information we collect is stored on the following:

  • Our website host is password-protected and has SSL-certification (https) to provide an additional layer of security.
  • Timely is our cloud-based file management system accessed via our password-protected computer.
  • MailChimp  is our newsletter subscription management system. You can access MailChimp’s privacy policy here.  MailChimp’s servers are based in the US but are registered with the EU–​US Privacy Shield. You will have the opportunity to give us a written opt in to our newsletter via our salon consultation and online booking.
  • Timely is our E voucher facility
  • Live/gmail.  This is the UK-based password-protected server we use to communicate via email.
